Lifestyle Accountability Coaching, powered by Send It: custom cards, bi-weekly check-ins, one rule
02The problem

The problem was never effort.

Most capable people aren't short on effort. They're spending it on things that were never going to work, and calling that discipline.

You know the move. You've known it for months. Knowing was never the problem. Deciding was.

Nobody stays stuck by accident. Staying stuck is a choice. Being confused is a choice. Grinding hard in the wrong direction is a choice.

03The three positions

You may be in one of these three positions:

A.

You're really drifting.

This is your wake-up call. Drift avoids decisions. Life has been happening to you.

Unconscious continuation. Momentum impersonating intention. Nothing is wrong, and nothing is chosen either. Time to choose.

B.

You're driven.

This is your diagnostic. You put in the work, but something is off and you can't name it. Okay, what the hell is going on, really?

Thirty days of cards will show you exactly where your effort is going and what it's buying you.

C.

You're already living by design.

This is your challenge. You don't need a wake-up call and you don't need a diagnosis.

You want the next level. That's fine. Okay, let's do it. Harder cards, higher stakes, someone keeping score.

The Send It Session builds you one deck. Coaching is me keeping score, every month.

04Meet the guide

I've been the person who knew what to do and didn't do it. I went from obesity, unemployment, and alcoholism to the life I have now.

The distance wasn't information. It was decisions, one at a time, kept.

First of all, I am strongly against the over-intellectualization of common sense that any kind of lifestyle coach, guru, or pretty much the majority of what you see on social media tells you.

Half the time, you know the right thing to do, but you may not want to do it because it might be hard.

Where the Hard or Wrong test came from.

I've gone from obesity, unemployment, and alcoholism to appearing on Good Morning America, speaking at major conferences, and consulting Fortune 500 companies, while still being able to coach my kids' sports teams and hit the gym 5 days a week.

I don't have any kind of system or process that I magically came up with while meditating in Tibet, and I don't have a fancy psychology degree or anything like that.

I just know that the majority of the time, the right thing is pretty much obvious. It might be hard, but we can just push through.

05The plan

Here's the plan.

  1. Tell me who you're becoming.

The future-self review covers all four pillars: physical, professional, personal, posterity.

I read every answer before I build a single card.

Then we spend 45 minutes on an onboarding call going through it together.

  2. Draw your card.

One custom card every day, built around that person. Minimum 30 a month. Some days a couple. The deck evolves monthly based on what you actually did.

  3. Report sent or not.

Every two weeks, 30 minutes. Card by card, no essays. That's the scoreboard.

That's the whole program. Simple on purpose.

06How it works

Custom cards. Bi-weekly check-ins. One rule: report sent or not.

  1. Future-self review to start, we begin with the person you say you want to be.
  2. Custom Send It cards built around your goals, minimum 30 per month, one new card every day.
  3. Bi-weekly scoreboard check-ins, 30 minutes, sent or not, that is the meeting.
  4. Visual scorecard tracking effort dividend vs comfort tax across all four pillars: physical, professional, personal, posterity.
Your future-self review: physical, professional, personal, posterity

Week 0

Week 0 is the future-self review: a form covering all four pillars. I read every answer before I build the first cards.

Your cards

First cards within 7 days of purchase.

Minimum 30 cards a month, one new card every day, some days a couple.

Cards are calibrated to what actually happened, and the deck changes monthly based on results.

Every two weeks

Every two weeks, a 30-minute check-in.

  • Scoreboard (10 minutes, card by card, sent or not).
  • Disputes (5 minutes).
  • Score review (5 minutes).
  • Next cards (10 minutes).

Between check-ins

Between check-ins, you message me on WhatsApp with sent or not. Disputes get raised and ruled there too.

The scorecard

The scorecard has a weekly score and an overall score per pillar. The client always knows where they stand.

If a card like "say the honest sentence you keep swallowing to the person who needs to hear it, today" scares you, this probably is not for you.

07Scoring

Each card gets one of three outcomes:

  • Effort dividend: you did it.
  • Comfort tax: you didn't do it because you didn't feel like it.
  • Voided: a card that was wrong for a real reason (not hard, wrong). No comfort tax on a bad card.

You can dispute any card. I have the final say.

You won't do every card. Sometimes you won't do it because you don't feel like it. That's the comfort tax. What matters is that we track it.

Scoring rules: effort dividend, comfort tax, voided
08The actual cards

These are actual cards from the deck. Your custom coaching cards follow the same format, built around you.

Professional

SEND THE DRAFT

Pick the work that is waiting on polish. Read it once. Make it useful. Send it.

Done when: One draft sent.

Physical

NAME THE THIEF

Name what is costing you sleep. Remove it tonight, or say out loud that you choose it.

Done when: One thief gone tonight.

Personal

THE TRUE SENTENCE

Say the honest sentence you keep swallowing to the person who needs to hear it. Today.

Done when: Said it out loud.

Professional

RISK A NO

Pick a credible opportunity just past your comfort zone. Put yourself in consideration.

Done when: One submission made.

Not today: one redraw. The second card sticks.

It starts with the future-self review. A preview of the questions it asks:

  • What is the boldest professional move you have been avoiding?
  • If you could only change one thing in the next 30 days, what would it be?
09The stakes

What happens if you don't decide?

Nothing dramatic. That's the problem. Another year of almost. The comfort tax compounds quietly, and a year from now you're having the same conversation with yourself.

Now the other version.

Physical. One client started writing down everything he ate before he ate it, just for a week.

He didn't overhaul his life. He just sent it once in a while. And it changed his whole approach, because now he thinks before he eats.

Professional. The power-moves week. Take one big, bold bet a week.

  • Pitch the client you're sure will say no.
  • Apply for the speaking gig you think isn't a fit.
  • Apply for the job you're not qualified for.

Do it for one week and you'll realize: you made it through the week. And suddenly you're not afraid to take the risk anymore.

Personal. The whisper. Every day, write a letter answering one question: what is quietly whispering to you from the future?

Answer it every day and you get brutally clear on your intentions, and on what today is asking of you. Just ask yourself to guide you.

Posterity. The 10 minutes. Every night, Terry goes into his boys' room for at least 10 minutes. He tells them stories about his father and his brother. He just talks to them.

Ten minutes a night is 3,650 minutes a year. That's over 60 hours with his boys.

10Proof

Sometimes you need outside guidance, whether it's for long-term planning or triaging a short-term decision that could alter your life's trajectory. Terry has become one of those coaches for me. He is a go-to resource whenever I need to make a tough decision or pivot, personally or professionally.

Every time I share updates, he responds with thoughtful, actionable feedback and encouragement.

I've recommended him to executives and C-level leaders who are navigating chosen or unchosen transitions, because he has a rare gift for helping people move forward with clarity and confidence.

Thank you for the push to send it!
