Here’s a fun game I like to play.
Whenever something good happens, I like to reverse engineer how it happened.
Like the time I appeared on Good Morning America.
It wasn’t luck. It wasn’t a PR agency.
It started because I taught Digital Marketing at a school called General Assembly. Good Morning America featured me in a segment on social media.
I got the General Assembly role because I asked around my WeWork office if anyone could connect me to someone who worked there.
So yeah, I ended up on national television because I wasn’t too proud to ask strangers for help.
That moment taught me something. Intention is powerful. But it means nothing without action.
What Happened When I Got Intentional (Again)
Recently, I realized I wanted to land more corporate training opportunities.
Why?
- They pay well
- I don’t have to do the selling
- I can repeat the same training multiple times
Once I locked in that intention, I took immediate action.
- I reached out to a former brand partner. They didn’t respond to that pitch, but instead offered me an even better opportunity.
- I contacted a school I used to work with. I pitched a small training session. They countered with, “How about designing an entire program?”
- I spoke with a friend who runs a corporate training agency. We agreed it wasn’t a fit. But I still call that a win, we kept the friendship intact.
Wins across the board. And it all started by getting clear on what I wanted, and moving on it.
But let me be honest with you, that clarity didn’t come on its own.
The Rooftop Realization (and a Little Woo-Woo)
The idea to return to corporate workshops hit me on March 3rd, during something called the “33 Portal.”
That same morning, my friend Gi Gi O’Brien told me about its significance; a spiritual day aligned with growth, alignment, and transformation.
At her suggestion, I walked out onto my rooftop, stared at the Manhattan skyline, and opened myself to whatever came through.
What came through?
“You need to start leading corporate trainings again.”
This wasn’t just some mystical download. It was a return to what I’m already great at. It reminded me that the fastest path to growth isn’t always new, sometimes it’s just underused.
So yes, a little divine nudge helped. But I still had to do the outreach, the follow-ups, and the uncomfortable asks.
Intention. Then action.
Your Turn: What Do You Really Want Right Now?
What would you be happy you accomplished 90 days from now?
Not five years from now.
Not “someday.”
What do you want to create, change, or attract in the next 90 days?
Be honest. Get specific.
Because clarity leads to action. And once you know what you want, everything else starts falling into place.
Then, Amplify It with AI.
Once you’ve got your goal, use this prompt in ChatGPT:
“Here’s what I want to accomplish in the next 90 days: [insert goal]. What are the first 3 small but powerful actions I can take this week to build momentum?”
Clarity + momentum = magic.
